The Lexus RZ 450e will initially be offered with an all-wheel drive. This consists of a 150 kW unit at the front and an 80 kW motor at the rear; this results in 230 kW and 435 Nm of torque. Lexus calls the all-wheel-drive system Direct4, and it is based on two electric axles (eAxles). The power transmission to the wheels should be controlled continuously and with high precision.
